Collaborative activity: the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomy suspects 155 people from the occupied Crimea who cooperate with the enemy

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported suspicion to 155 persons from the peninsula who cooperate with the occupying state in one form or another.

87 indictments were sent to the court.

As a result of public prosecution, 3 sentences were passed. We are talking about entrepreneurs who cooperate with the enemy as part of the "defense order", as well as a Crimean senator who supported the actions of the aggressor and justified the war against Ukraine.

In total, since March 2022, when Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity) entered into force, the law enforcement agencies of the autonomy have initiated 226 criminal proceedings under this article.

Among the suspects and accused are top occupation Crimean officials and officials of various levels, law enforcement officers, judges, as well as entrepreneurs who have cooperated with the enemy and provide their services within the framework of the defense order of the Russian Federation.

During the investigation of such criminal proceedings, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomy takes into account the circumstances of the crime, the presence of intent, the public danger and the extent of the damage caused. Prosecutors approach each fact individually. Priority is given to those who voluntarily cooperate with the aggressor state, its occupation administration, law enforcement agencies, etc.

Russian propaganda continues to try to intimidate Crimeans that "everyone will be imprisoned", and with the beginning of a full-scale invasion, this pressure only increases. But in reality, this is in no way true, since Ukraine is a democratic European country that does not have such a goal, unlike the Russian Federation.
